What will you do?


We have an exciting opportunity for a Transformation Manager to join us and help solve critical business problems and transform Target into Australia's leading Digital Retailer! 

This position will deliver significant impact by supporting Target's Strategic Transformation agenda.  You will support the Head of Transformation to govern and drive accountability in the Transformation Program and get hands-on with workstreams/pillars to support critical strategic initiatives.  The primary focus of this role will be to ensure Target delivers on its strategic commitments. The Transformation agenda represents Target's single most important Program and is highly visible throughout K-Mart Group and Wesfarmers.


A typical week will involves employing your skills in problem solving to structure and break down ambiguous problems and facilitation skills to bring cross-functional teams together to collaborate.  Your key stakeholders will be the Target Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Team.  You will need to garner the trust of your internal stakeholders and have the versatility to support all areas of Target on specific strategic topics. To support driving Program accountability, you will also be responsible for collating and preparing regular reporting to the TLT, K-Mart Group Leadership Team and Board. 


Other responsibilities will include:


  • Prepare program reporting, keep track of progress, risks and issues
  • Hold teams accountable to their commitments (timeline and benefits) 
  • Help identify and opportunities to improve and streamline governance
  • Set-up and facilitate sessions with TLT and SLT members
  • Understand stakeholder priorities and agendas
  • Influence and get stakeholder buy-in to accelerate change
  • Apply a structured problem-solving process to break down ambiguous problems
  • Conduct strategic analysis and build analytical models
  • Provide perspectives and best practices from prior experience to advise workstreams
  • Building relationships and working through others is critical

What are we looking for?


This is the perfect role for a driven individual, who excels in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Someone who suggests creative ideas and innovative solutions by exploring multiple alternatives and approaches to overcome obstacles and find solutions.

Required Skills,Experience and qualifications :


  • Minimum 2-3 years management consulting (either top-tier, Big-4 or boutique) or in-house strategy & transformation experience
  • Roughly 5-7 years experience overall in the strategy and/or transformation space
  • Technical proficiency to run analysis, build models and develop communication documents is assumed
  • You will be a self-starter, a critical thinker, curious and have a developing passion for retail
  • Retail experience is preferred, but not essential
