What will you do?


In this role, you primary responsibility will be working with the team to build world class website in line with Target values and  for providing exceptional technical advice, governance, guidance with your extensive knowledge and expertise .
The Automation Lead Engineer must be knowledgeable in software and hardware with an emphasis on integration with the overall business processes. This person must be data and security conscious at all times. They must be critical thinkers and problem-solvers with great attention to detail in relation to the business and technology systems of the organization.Monitor and troubleshoot workflows and botflows, including making timely escalations with vendors/service desks to resolve issues/concerns quickly; applying solutions that vendors provide for issue resolution; complete data repair as necessary.This role is located at Target Support Office in Williams Landing.

• Mentor and coach the QA team with an automation first approach to add tests to automation in Regression and Progression scenarios
• Set the roadmap for automation and performance testing improvements

What are we looking for?


The ideal candidate works well with others, has excellent communication skills, collaborates across departments, and can transfer knowledge to other team members. As the Automation Lead Engineer you must have the capacity to multitask and excel in fast-paced environments.
This person will perform monitoring and maintenance of all created flows, forms, and automated processes. This person must be able to work closely and give direction to other team members who create workflows, forms, and botflows

As the  Automation Lead  Engineer Liaise with business users to identify bugs/issues with processes that are in production. Has experience in debugging complex problems and collaborate with other technical resources as appropriate


Experience and knowledge that are mandatory to be successful are:

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience in test automation/performance testing and 4 years of experience in testing
• Significant experience working in a large organisation, preferably retail
• Tertiary qualification in relevant field
• Relevant experience in Testing and developing QA automation framework/solution design and implementation in Gherkin syntax
• Experience in UI automation tools like Selenium, Appium, etc
• Automation experience in contract test automation using Postman or RestAssured or SOAPUI
• Experience with at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Swift, Ruby)
• Experience using performance monitoring & testing tools like Dynatrace, Silk Performer and JMeter
• Performing functional, business process and regression testing (both manual and automated)
• Exposure to DevOps and Continuous Integration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins etc.
• Knowledge of the AWS platform and its services
• AWS Certification preferrable
• Knowledge of setting up and maintaining Test lab using SeleniumGrid, Saucelabs, Jmeter distributed architecture etc preferrable
