What will you do?
We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Business Analyst to join us in our rapiding growing Ecommerce space. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate the business analysis and engagement process with business stakeholders and IT solution teams for delivery of IT Systems enhancements, process improvement or new functionality and the proactive contribution to business strategy, innovation and knowledge base, in line with Target’s values .
Key responsibilities are categorised in detail and outlined below:
Analysis
- Create requirements specifications compromising user stories , use cases , process flows, prototypes, conceptual designs/models, etc.
- Oversee teams across the entire SDLC to monitor the design , development, testing and delivery of new and enhanced functionality for the plarform.
- Develop rapport and work with clients / stakeholders to elicit requirements and determine the best technical approach to address clients' business problems and challenges.
- Leading workshops and facilitating to get the right outcome for Target
Collaboration and Co-ordination
- Liaising between business, IT teams and system vendors
- Regular collaboration with business stakeholders to shorten feedback loops and encourage the development of a product which adds value to Target
Stakeholder Engagement & Management
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders/product owners
- Work with the business to identify business process improvement opportunities
Subject knowledge
- Establish, maintain and share industry level product and services knowledge and expertise
- Demonstrate self-leadership and guidance to the team and wider IT community with regard to related technologies
- Ensure that initiatives align to IT Strategy
Delivery of IT Solutions
- Shape the processes in the teams to deliver the BA work efficiently
- Delivery of BA artefacts completed on time and within budget
- Mentor junior BA’s
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in delivering projects under an AGILE methodology, excellent understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the application of quality processes and a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging technology and their potential business opportunities.
Other experience required to be successful are:
- 6+ years in the retail industry working on digital projects
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology or related discipline
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
- Organisation, Presentation and Documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of and ability to analyse metrics
