What will you do?

 

We are seeking an experienced People & Capability Business Partner to join our amazing team at Target Support Office -Williams Landing. You will be surrounded by people who are knowledgeable, supportive of each other and get a kick out of being able to impact the business and culture of Target. The primary purpose of the People and Capability Business Partner  is to provide operational and strategic people advice to  leaders and team members whilst delivering the key people initiatives to support the overall  Target strategy.

Other key responsibilities may include:

 

  • Support line managers throughout the recruitment process, ensuring the key skills and attributes are recruited to deliver the Target strategy and supports the Diversity strategy, reflecting our customers and the communities we work within.
  • Provide organisation design to support our Leaders, focusing on having the right people in the right roles to support Target’s overall strategy.
  • Work with the internal stakeholders with all functions to build strong internal succession plans, identifying business critical roles and development opportunities.
  • Identify training and development gaps within the teams and liaise with the Learning & Capability team to implement strategies to address these.
  • Own the induction, coaching and development process to create a high performing team with clear measures, development plans and support mechanisms.
  • Partner with leaders across a dedicated Client Group to drive people initiatives to support the overall business strategy

You will be known for your optimism and positivity and will have a strong track record of success in a fast paced People & Capability environment.  The ability to develop and influence others is essential, as is a commercial approach to decision making. You thrive in an environment of change and will be comfortable adapting to ensure the people agenda stays aligned to the business needs.
