What will you do?

In this exciting role, you will:

  • Strategise & Execute: Work closely with the Head of Brand and Marketing Strategy to deliver impactful PR campaigns and events that enhance and protect Target Australia’s reputation.

  • Collaborate & Create: Partner with cross-functional teams—Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Merchandise, Design, Online, and Store Operations—to develop and execute PR initiatives that align with business objectives.

  • Produce Engaging Content: Craft on-brand editorial material, including media releases, feature stories, presentations, blog posts, and video content.

  • Build Media Relationships: Develop compelling story angles, work with our agencies to pitch to media outlets, manage product placement, and coordinate PR events.

  • Influence & Engage: Support the Target Influencer Program and develop innovative organic social media strategies to drive engagement and brand loyalty.

What are we looking for?

Proven experience in PR, events, and social media management, preferably within a retail or consumer-focused industry.

  • Exceptional writing and content creation skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills to juggle multiple campaigns and events simultaneously.

  • A collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with internal teams and external partners.

  • A creative thinker who can craft compelling narratives and engaging storylines to bring the Target brand to life.
