What will you do?
Our Online team supports the customer journey across all our online platforms, delivering an engaging and relevant shopping experience wherever our customer’s shop. As our Head of Online Trade - Target, reporting directly into the General Manager of Online – Kmart & Target, you will be accountable for driving trade and conversion to support the ongoing growth of our online sales. You will be the custodian of the online sales channels and will work collaboratively with key business stakeholders, ensuring teams make informed and data driven decisions to drive online sales. Leading the Target Online Trade team, you will be an inspiring, engaging, and supportive people leader.
As Head of Online Trade – Target you will:
- Lead the e-commerce trade calendar, overseeing the planning and execution of go-live and post-launch trade and campaign activities to meet sales and profitability targets.
- Shape and execute our e-commerce strategy, driving category growth through the online channel with a strong focus on customer needs and behaviours.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives aimed at optimising online performance and unlocking new growth opportunities.
- Leverage customer insights to identify opportunities and proactively address challenges at a category and business-wide level.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry, digital, and customer trends, integrating these insights into trade planning and long-term initiatives.
- Act as a key connector, collaborating cross-functionally with teams across Marketing, Merchandise, Technology, Customer Experience, and Online Operations to ensure alignment and successful execution of online trade strategies.
What are we looking for?

- Proven success leading digital and e-commerce strategies, ideally within the retail apparel sector.
- A deep understanding of consumer-centric digital experiences, with a passion for delivering seamless and engaging journeys.
- A sharp commercial mindset, backed by strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- An experienced people leader, who has led teams in a trading or transformation context
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.
- Confidence in using analytics tools like Google Analytics to drive performance, revenue, and conversion improvements.
- An innovative and proactive mindset, always looking for new opportunities to add value and drive growth.
