What will you do?

 

Target has a great opportunity for a Senior Program Manager- Digital to join the team at Target. The Primary Purpose of this role is responsible for the planning, governance and change management support across the Target Digital functions and work streams, including project planning, prioritisation, and performance tracking of all major initiatives.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:

 

•    Lead complex strategy projects in line with business priorities and transformation horizons including stakeholder management, change management, business case development
•    Be a thought partner to Digital and broader Target leadership team as they develop their strategy and quarterly plans / priorities
•    Inject strategic and innovative thinking to key business challenges, structuring problems and defining plans of action to solve them
•    Enable the delivery of Digital Program initiatives across Channel Experience, Personalisation, Data, Loyalty and oversee all aspects of multiple work-stream coordination (e.g. planning, requirements definition, prioritisation, progress management, risk management and program communication).
•    Working with Digital Heads of, Functional Leads and Product Managers, to ensure governance of the Digital Program throughout the program/project lifecycle, supports the success of the Program and its projects. This includes regular program/project stakeholder visibility, management of program risks, appropriate approvals for scope change etc.
•    Consolidate complex and volatile projects into clear and concise routines and cadence.
•    Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in Digital and the Business to drive execution at speed and maximise value.
•    Implement and manage change and communications around new ways of working to deliver measurable improvements.
•    Identify strategy process, documentation, tools and opportunities across the Digital Program and Transformation to ensure our projects and ongoing strategy meet the customer needs.
•    Support the development of the annual strategy, including running diagnostics, organising and facilitating collaborative sessions with key stakeholders to set future platform vision, prioritise initiatives, and estimate financial benefits
•    Bring new ideas and best practices based on global examples across different industries
•    Communicating and storytelling Digital strategy, priorities, progress and business performance to executive stakeholders
•    Provides leadership and recommendations necessary to accomplish business objectives
•    Regularly meet with cross functional teams to share insights, buying group performance updates to ensure key learnings are communicated

The ideal person will hold the following Qualifications, experience, and knowledge:

 
•    Solid  7+ years experience as a Senior Project/Program Manager (or similar position) in medium to large-sized organisation
•    Superior understanding & demonstrated experience in best practice digital program management including scope, time, cost, quality, people, communications, cost, risk, procurement, integration, and benefits management
•    Proven ability to engage with and give confidence to senior stakeholders
•    Strong digital project delivery experience preferably in Agile
•    Strong understanding of ecommerce and customer facing digital platforms
•    Analytical mindset, strong understanding of industry trends and data analysis
•    Experience writing or contributing to board level presentations and reports
•    Experience presenting to senior business stakeholders
•    Previous experiences working with cross-functional stakeholder groups
•    Retail industry experience, desirable.
