We’re looking for a Profit Protection Project Lead to drive initiatives that safeguard value across Kmart Group. In this role, you’ll lead the design, delivery, and execution of shrink reduction and risk mitigation projects that directly impact profitability and operational efficiency.
Sitting at the intersection of Profit Protection, Operations, and cross-functional teams, you’ll translate data-driven insights into practical, scalable solutions that reduce loss, enhance processes, and embed sustainable controls. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, you’ll collaborate with key partners across Merchandise, Property, Store Operations, and other key support office functions—ensuring initiatives are effectively adopted, supported by deep loss prevention expertise, and deliver measurable, long-term outcomes.
What will you do?
- Identify shrink reduction opportunities based on internal insights overlaid with industry trends
- Lead end-to-end delivery of shrink reduction and risk mitigation projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.
- Analyse shrink, operational, and performance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with Profit Protection, Operations, and Store teams to design and implement solutions that are practical, store-ready, and sustainable.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and reporting to track ROI and benefits realisation.
- Support training and adoption to ensure initiatives are embedded into BAU.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects deliver measurable outcomes.
What are we looking for?
- Strong background in Profit Protection, loss prevention, or operational risk.
- Experience in project coordination or management within retail.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset, with proven experience using data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, across store and support office levels.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a focus on delivering results.
