We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to join our amazing team in Victoria. You will be surrounded by people who are knowledgeable, supportive of each other and get a kick out of being able to impact the business and culture of Target.

What will you do?

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Manager to join our Target family in Victoria. This will be a dynamic and fast paced role that requires dedication and determination to achieve success. Lead and develop store teams within the region, including online and click and collect to maximise profits and enhance the customer experiences while minimising costs in line with Target’s values.


Other key responsibilities include:


•    Communicates clear goals and roles to team members. 
•    Ensures that the team has the right mix of skills and leverages the strengths of individual members. 
•    Rewards team efforts and accomplishments. 
•    Coaches’ others on how to build effective teams. 
•    Control remuneration costs and maximise profit by reducing shrink.
•    Coaches people on how to take a stand in the face of adversity when they believe in something
•    Confronts tough organisational issues and disagreements
•    Delivers difficult messages directly
•    Manage performance in a timely manner and coach and support your management teams to be confident to do so
•    Set clear expectations, priorities, and deliverables with management team
•    Develop productive relationships with external parties in your operating environment
•    Provide coaching and guidance to ensure store events are executed successfully
•    Deliver clear, consistent, timely and effective communications
•    Ensure there is an optimised workforce plan by having the right people at the right time in the right roles 
•    Focus on talent and succession, ensuring development plans are in place to enhance people’s careers
•    Coach, develop and mentor your teams to ensure the customer is at the forefront of mind
•    Demonstrates the courage to say "no" when necessary
•    Inspire a team mindset to deliver store standards and processes with a customer centric approach 
•    Know and understand your customer base, loyalty, demographics
•    Consider customer impacts in all commercial and operational decision making 
•    Know and understand the operating environment (internal and external)
•    Lead a safety first culture
•    Accountable for a safe workplace by identifying and reporting safety concerns and leading by example by maintaining a safe working environment

What are we looking for?

 

An ideal candidate is someone who can build effective teams and openness by coaching and developing teams with customer centric mindset. You will show strong leadership and results driven traits, be highly motivated and have strong people management skills. A strong retail management background including multi-site management. 
To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience.


•    Retail Stores multi-site Management experience in big box and Apparel desirable
•    Experience in implementing and understanding principles and processes of store retailing
•    Demonstrated ability to drive change through productivity improvements 
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills maximize sales across all stores
•    Strong interpersonal skills to lead and manage our store teams
•    Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example
•    Strong problem-solving abilities
•    Highly motivated and self-driven
