We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Marketing Manager to join Target, leading how our apparel categories show up for millions of customers. This role leads the planning, development and implementation of marketing communication strategy to drive short, long and always on commercial category performance. This role is also responsible for end-to-end project management of relevant category led seasonal events and campaigns, in line with Target’s values.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

In this role, you’ll own the end‑to‑end marketing strategy for key fashion categories using data, insights and customer behaviour to deliver measurable commercial outcomes. You’ll work closely with our Buying and broader Marketing teams (Brand, Creative, Media and Production) to bring bold, integrated omni‑channel campaigns to life, while leading and developing a high‑performing team.

 

  • Building short and long‑term category marketing strategies that drive sustainable growth
  • Translating customer insights into compelling, effective marketing communications
  • Partnering with Merchandise teams as a customer and category expert
  • Leading major seasonal events, campaigns and supplier‑funded initiatives
  • Delivering integrated campaigns across paid, owned and organic channels
  • Coaching and empowering a team of category marketing specialists
  • Reporting performance insights to unlock future growth opportunities

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • 7+ years’ experience in retail, FMCG or major brand marketing-fashion or apparel experience highly regarded
  • Proven success driving measurable commercial outcomes through category marketing
  • Strong capability in leveraging customer insights, data and supplier partnerships
  • Experience leading complex, integrated campaigns across multiple stakeholders
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing talent
  • The agility to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment
